Save a Life - Support the Community Bone Marrow Testing Event

Dear Community Friends, As the weather warms and with spring approaching, I hope this email finds all of you and your families, and your members doing well. On Saturday, March 27, the Buddhist Temple of San Diego (BTSD) will host a drive thru bone marrow testing event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the BTSD parking lot and we are asking for your help. BTSD is asking for your help with supporting the effort by passing the word to your members and friends in the 18-44 age category who are the ideal candidate donors for the national bone marrow registry in hopes to "Be The Match." If members of your organization are already registered, thank you very much for their time and effort. We are supporting Mr. Paul Goodman, age 29, who is a member of the Orange County Buddhist Church and other patients who are seeking positive bone marrow matches. The event supports patients affected with blood cancer or blood related illness and are supported by A3M. The ethnic backgrounds of the patients on the informational flyer attached to this email include Japanese, Chinese, Korean, African American, Hispanic and Anglo American. The patient's stories can be found on the Hope4Paul.com (#Ganbatte Paul) website. The Vista Buddhist Temple (VBT) will serve as a co-host. Asians for Marrow Miracle Matches (A3M) is the event sponsor and will administer the contactless cheek swab tests. The test takes approximately 15 minutes and is being held in accordance with CDC guidelines related to COVID-19.
