The 64th Annual JACL Community Picnic will be held on June 28th at East Crown Point Shores at 11:00 A.M.  This event will include the following:

 

Opportunity drawing ($1,000, $500 & $250 cash), Raffle Prizes, Gift Basket Contest, Face Painting, Origami Folding, Inflatable Jumper, Games for all ages, Geta Races, Hawaiian Shave Ice.

 

1:00 p.m.         Games

2:45 p.m.         Scholarship Awards*

3:00 p.m.         Gift Basket Contest – Top 3 Awards

                          Raffle and Cash Prizes

 

*All the JACL Scholarship winners will be recognized

 

Gift Basket Contest

 

• No Cost to enter

• Use your creativity to construct a special gift basket

• Bring it to the Picnic between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM

• Tickets will be sold for $.50 each or 3 for $1.00 and tickets are then placed with the Gift Baskets desired.  Each Basket will be raffled off from the tickets inserted for each Basket.  The top three Baskets, based on the number of tickets purchased will be awarded prizes.

• Anything can be celebrated

• Out of the box thinking is encouraged

Youth & Adult Games

 

Pam Takahashi with Kevin Matsumoto are busy with planning a wide range of games for all age groups.  Look forward to a day of fun.

 

Raffle

 

The raffle prizes are starting to build up.  John Yamate with Seaforth Sportfishing has generously donated half-day fishing trips, Ken Yasuda with Yasuda Nursery a gift certificate for trees and Sue Yamauchi with her famous quilted gifts.  Please contact Robert Ito, 619 954-7017 or rpito@cox.net if you would like to contribute something for the raffle.

 

Food and Beverage

 

Everyone is encouraged to bring their own food and coordinate with family and friends, Potluck style!  JACL will be providing free water and soda for the group.
