The Buddhist Temple of San Diego is a nonmonastic Jodo Shinshu (Pure Land) temple, the oldest Buddhist organization in the County, founded by Japanese immigrants in 1926. The temple’s Sunday Family Service and many programs and activities attract a diverse Sangha who gather to hear and share the Dharma (Buddha’s teachings) with fellow seekers of wisdom, peace and compassion.

The mission of the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana (JSSDT) is to promote goodwill and advance business, civic, educational, and cultural interchange and understanding between the people of Japan, San Diego, and Tijuana.

The Japanese American Historical Society of San Diego is dedicated to the collection, identification and preservation of materials related to the Japanese American experience.

The Japanese Friendship Garden is an expression of friendship between San Diego and its sister city Yokohama that binds the two cultures to create a unique experience for visitors from all over the world.

Kiku Gardens Apartments is a 100 unit project for seniors. It was planned and built by the JA community in San Diego county and banked by HUD. We provide low income, independent, housing in a very pleasant well maintained Japanese style garden environment. The project is located in south San Diego.

The 9th NSU to be established in California in order to create a place for Japanese American culture to be shared and spread amongst the SDSU community.

The Nikkei Student Union at UC San Diego was founded in 1988, and serves as the oldest and largest Japanese-interest organization on campus. We work with fellow student organizations and members of the greater San Diego community to promote Japanese and Japanese American culture, while making a positive impact on the community.

Pioneer Ocean View UCC combines a strong Japanese-American Heritage (Japanese First Congregational Church of San Diego, Ocean View UCC) and a local community spirit (Pioneer Congregational Church, Clairemont). The merged congregation meets in a beautiful setting overlooking Mission Bay at 2550 Fairfield St. in Clairemont. We welcome you to join us for worship in an upcoming Sunday or to share in any of our church’s programs or events.

The Pacific Arts Movement is one of the largest media arts organizations in North America that focuses on Asian American and Asian international cinema.

Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is a non-profit multicultural, multilingual health and human services agency focusing on the Asian Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities in San Diego. Services include: Adult, Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Addiction Treatment & Recovery Services, Health Promotion & Disease Prevention, Youth Development, Community and Economic Development, and Senior Care.

The mission of the Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company is to create, produce, and educate. Through all three aspects, we seek to broaden the scope of San Diego’s cultural environment by offering professional, socially-conscious theater that provides a voice for diverse and underrepresented populations, aesthetics, and issues on stage; generates participation and dialogue between local communities; and creates paid employment for local theater artists.

Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) is a community-based, non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to cultivate civic engagement to forward the voices of San Diego’s Asian Pacific American community. APAC is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes. The APAC mission is to cultivate civic engagement to forward the voices of San Diego’s 300,000+ Asian Pacific American community.
